Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I have googled Keen sandals, and find they are stocked in a shop in Sidmouth. I shall investigate when we're down next.

I've got birkenstock sandals with a toe bar. Do they qualify as flip flops? They don't flip or flop

AL - the fire is about 8 miles away from us but the current wind direction means we have glorious blue skies and can't see/smell any smoke. Our friends have been asked to leave their house, which is just terrifying. It's a desperate situation and the emergency services are doing such a brilliant job to contain it as much as they can.

I remember when we had lots of forest fires nearby in 1976.

I have a pair of Merrell sandals that I found by chance in TKMaxx about 5 years ago. I've lived in them all summer every year since and there's no sign of them wearing out yet. They cost me £25.00 - you don't get bargains like that there any more.

Saltwater sandals for me they’re triff. They’re on their third year and I still regularly look around the train and think yup, I’ve still got the best sandals here. Flip flops caused me sores on the toe gap and I hated the wet fish sound of them slapping against the floor as I walked euch

I've not heard of Saltwater sandals, not my style - I don't think they'd be very good for my flat feet.

Time to get my beach stuff off the washing line.

I have replaced the batteries in the TV remote.

The old ones were flat, so it wasn't working.
