Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I own a flask. It mainly sits in a cupboard while I sit on trains wishing I'd remembered I own a flask.

I went to some kind of 'effective working' seminar once where they said there are 4 categories of thing:

Important and urgent
Not important and urgent
Important and not urgent

Not important and not urgent

And the 'important and not urgent' things are the things no one ever gets to. Which is EXACTLY what ends up happening to me, especially as all the 'important not urgent' things seem to be difficult and time-consuming as well.

In fact, here I go again, writing a load of 'not important not urgent' waffle on a website in order to avoid engaging my brain.

;-) I’ve been on the same course as Mazlin. It was helpful in that now I have a mental framework to house my prevarication. I think the spoons of effort and the monkeys of responsibility all live in there too

I can report that the pistachio croissant was actually very nice. But I did spill it all over myself which is not a good look. And I got it on my face. Luckily I re-did my lipstick and spotted it. Nearly at my stop.

Mint ice cream. My lower extremities are covered in mud. Luckily it’s not that cold.

I have replaced the batteries in the TV remote.

The old ones were flat, so it wasn't working.
