I agree with you. If they can be made clean at 30' then that's what the washing instructions should say.

I suppose they want to let you know the maximum they can be washed at, but want to encourage you to wash cooler. Most washing machines have a 'standard' setting of 40, don't they? I know I pay attention to washing instructions when buying clothes. If they say dry clean, I would rarely purchase...'cept for a special occassion, of course.
