Anyone done Budapest? I'm thinking of taking my 16 yr old son over for a long weekend in October. If I don't wimp out on the training.

Forgot to mention :)G re Tallinn. There is a free beer and food tent for those who do the marathon. Unfortunately we only found out on the plane home from a bloke who had 3 pints and 2 bowls of spag bol there.

*watches with interest* I would love to do Tokyo, my research so far has concluded it's only possible in practical terms through a sports tour company. I'd quite happily book my own flights and hotel it's the marathon entry that looked complicated. Hoping someone can correct me!

Looks like the application places for Tokyo has to be done in August, internet only, and that gets you into the lottery. 300 000+ applicants for 36 000 places means you have to be lucky! Other than that, you're looking at charity places or sports tour companies. Tokyo has only recently started to go down the charity route and only a small number of UK charities offer Tokyo as an option.
