The inaugural marathon is going well. It has taken literally no minutes from my life to plan. I have added the routes we sort of intend to plan in a blog. fetcheveryone.com/blog/55622 It is Timperley marathon to extent it starts and end there. Early call made not to do lots of small laps (way too dull) or the mix of tiny loops just in Timperley. I am definately running too much at moment which i blame Fetch for. An obsession to get badges, Who squares wins and Run the Sum. Although i feel pretty good still. |

Just read that! I'm going to ask for the refund, as if I do one next October it will be London, as it's likely my last chance to run off the championship start even if I have to walk it!!

Yeah, 7 days after VLM now, far from ideal...

I haven’t really been paying attention to this as I had already differed this years place to next year. Wasn’t confident April 21 would go ahead and if October 21 can happen then I’d be training over the summer which I like. Also suits school holidays for making it a holiday for the week after. 🙂 |

Oh bugger. Well better knowing now...I was just starting to jog a bit more. Initial thoughts are...I'll do a few events if they are on, but can't imagine I'll put in a proper training plan. That zwift subscription is looking like a smart move! Think I might just go for the refund as Oct isn't great for me either. Though maybe I should let the poor guys keep the fee - the whole thing must be an absolute nightmare for them. |

I also have a place for the 2021 Manchester half which is on the same date! So that's my official reason for cancelling my marathon entry (not sure if I'll do it but I had a free entry for the 2020 half as we got a team prize in 2019, so I took it up thinking I'd pass it on to a clubmate even if I don't use it myself!).

I've asked for a refund. I've had so many races, gigs, holidays and other nice things postponed, cancelled, rearranged, repostponed that I've run out of emotional energy for it all. It seems pointless even thinking about something that is more than a year away Maybe if it all changes I can re-enter nearer the time, but for now I'm just not OK to commit to things that keep going wrong. Too tired from it all... |

200 odd miles up the M6 doesn’t particularly appeal to me a week after London either. A shame because I enjoyed it last year. I do feel for anyone investing in events right now.

Gutted... I had actually started to do a bit of training in the past few weeks! I'll have to look for another Spring target. |
