Hell of a job by Wouter and Richie.

Really pleased for Froome, especially given all the rubbish he has had to put up with.

Have the Alpe climb on while catching up.
Observations
Nibali defended and then extended in 2014 as nonbody put him under pressure after grabbing a big lead in the first 10 days.
Froome had the same sort of lead after 10 days, extended a bit but has been under pressure in the Alps by better climbers than Nibali had to face last year.

Pinot stil developing. I picked him but quite glad that Froome won.

Green was an easy win for Sagan eventually, despite the change.

Spots proved to be a lottery randonm French winner pick any one from three as they worked out this was their only chance for glory.

Froome seemed to have a bit of police protection with a moto rider but still suffering abuse. Should leavd the Alpe for 10 years imo. Porte was maginificent, Poels equally, G was(sorry) awesome.
Quintana knew he had to try but just a bit too far behind, his team just did not look after him in the first few days.

As ever a gap reflects a number of days racing but Contador beat Schleck by thd amount of time he gained through chaingate, Froome does the same by windgate over Quintana.

Froome killed it after stage 10 but nobody told Quintana, great race.

Good god Kirby nearly burst into tears at the end. Just heard that Froome took spots as well only Merckx has done that in the last 50 years, mind he had green and combined as well in 1969.

Made the mistake of not muting the last k, could not believe my ears, what a clown.

Just watched the highlight show on ITV4. Great stage, it was quite nice to see Pinot win on Alpe d'Huez, good for France! Despite the great ride from Quintana I am glad Froome has won, they've had a lot of shit thrown at them (well that's about the only waste body material not actually directed at them) and its good to see them come out of the other side of it all.

Lol, about Kirby.

Was there anything controversial about the crosswinds stage? Was just Movistar in the wrong place at the wrong time from what I saw. Every man and his dog knew Etixx and Tinkoff would try and split the race.

Still think Schleck didn't have a mechanical, just did follow the rules on changing gears.

Agree about Nibali, this Tour shows his lead wasn't safe last year, and he still has never climbed at the level of AC, CF or NQ at their best.

Froome apparently has been ill for a few days, which if true gives him an out on the third week fade (although that's one of the risks when you're at a peak that can't last long). Currently the plan to beat Froome would be to stick with him in the early mountain stages, then beat him in the final week easier said than done though obviously, and probably only AC and NQ could try and execute it.

Looking forward to next year already, will be interesting to see the route, I expect we will get a long TT, maybe two, to make up for this year.

For today's stage a Sagan win would be nice but Cav will be favourite I think.

On current form Greipel is probably favourite. But Cav has most hunger for the final stage and I hope he does it.

Has he ever lost on the Champs?

Didn't he lose to Kittel in 2013, or have I imagined that?

Yes, he did. He had won for four years in a row before that.

I hope Kittel gets back to full fitness. I think it's pretty certain he's the fastest in the peloton now if he's fully fit, but isn't as strong as the others (yet?) when dealing with inclines, crosswinds, etc.
