Hills of Death (HOD)
Occasionally my knee gives way whilst I'm standing for no reason and small sharp pain anyone had experience of this ? Also maybe once in a while I get a sharp pain in my knee whilst running any suitable advice will be welcome. |

How's your overall flexibility HOD? Just because it's presenting in your knee, doesn't necessarily mean it's root-cause is there. I suspect hip/lower back tightness... |

I've got that HOD. I've self referred to the MSK (physio in NHS) and am on a 10 week waiting list. Google doc and a couple of pals have suggested meniscus tear in the knee for mine. Mine clicks too when extending under load (sometimes). I can run on it, but sometimes gets quite sore / achy. Hence referring myself for examination. Hope you find your cause and a fix.  G

My left knee used to do it a lot, particularly when going down stairs. My doctor said that it was just a weak tendon that needed strengthening. That was about twenty years ago and I now only wear a knee support as a precaution when I run.

I’m loathed to see a GP as they will just say rest give up or some stuff. I know a physio though
