Racing at weekend gone and missed a step, hyperextending my knee. Loud crack & sharp pain quickly subsided and I was able to continue and finish with just occasional twinge if close to fully extending knee. Iced Sunday and feels ok if not 100%.
We've only had a brief chat in passing but the look on my physios face from my description of the immediate noise & pain and how it feels now (weak, slightly tender, but no swelling or bruising) makes me think it's not good, although defo not as bad as it could have been.
Anyone here done similar & can share experience of how long recovery took / what was involved?

I would get it seen, from mechanism of injury it's possibly a cruciate ligament tear.

Thanks both. Am due to see physio we couldn't book owt as just passing by at work.
I'm told if a cl tear though it'd be bruised & swollen. It's not right tho so getting it checked regardless.

Physio poked pushed pulled & prodded my knee.
In short, it could've been lots worse given the circumstances but somehow is in pretty good shape.
Got some balance stuff to do but should be back on it soon.
🤞

Injury update... Knee feels great today. No pain on bike commute no pain walking about. Xc (steady) will be a good test of it tomorrow.
