[Oh God, I lost count of the times someone asked about the opening times of Tesco or similar over the Christmas and new year period. FFS just look at Tesco’s website people!]

Albert O Balsam I’ve copied these from Twitter too, and am very tempted to post one or two on our local group FB page, but fear that a large minority will accept them at face value! I don’t think that I could cope with the fallout!!!

Exactly Eynsham Red - and the fallout for these things on this type of site always goes ballistic with very little warning (and often on a bit of a tangent.) We had a situation last weekend where a lady fell over in a nearby field and 2 ambulances and a police car attended, along with a helicopter. The conversation on FB went something like this. Concerned local resident #1 "Ooh what's happened, just seen the helicopter?" Concerned local resident #2 "Someone's fallen over and the emergency services are in attendance" Less concerned local resident #3 "A helicopter landed in a field and some ambulances stopped by the side of the road....oh in other news I had a 1/4 pounder with cheese from Maccy Ds" Confused Individual With Access to the Internet "If indeed someone on a call had food don't you think they may have been on a break and been called to the emergency? May have been the only thing they had all day...." |

@simonharris_mbd has the full range of the front covers of "Local Facebook Group Magazine" on Twitter if you'd like to see them. (Some are NSFW in terms of language so I won't post them up.) |

(I think they meant "litter picking". It was possibly an auto-carrot issue).
