Just over a week to go! Training's been pretty pathetic to tell you the truth, but I managed to scrape together a 21 miler last Sunday, so I hope I'm in OK shape to at least finish it. Should be fun!

Still haven't received race pack Phoned them up numerous times only to get busy or ringing forever Eventually got through and told "well they were all sent out" and "you can pick it up at 7 on the day" and "Yes you can probably get your t-shirt then" Hope they ask for some feedback on this one Tapering going well only 10 or so miles tomorrow - I won't know what to do with the rest of the morning free

That's a shame, Hissing Sid.
I shall be doing a 9 or 10 miler tomorrow too.

I'd find it inconvenient to have to wait until after about 9am next Sunday to pick my race number up. With over a week to go it's not immediately clear what the urgency is.

My number finally arrived No T-Shirt but I have a card to exchange at Race Village Not seen Race Numbers with timing chip on back is this becoming more common?
Hope the two safety pins they sent are sufficient to hold number up - may have to add two of my own Two more runs to go - one of which is a 6 mile tempo. Good Luck to everyone in their final preparations

Yes, had a few chip on back of numbers recently. They sent me four pins, maybe they ran out of pins and shirts for the last few sent out:)
Good luck to everyone.

I did 12 mi with 10 at MP on Sunday, which was my last proper training run ... just planning a few 4-5 mile runs this week Tues-Thurs, and will rest up completely on Fri and Sat. I might get up for an 8 min jog at 5 am on race day before breakfast and the 2 hour drive.

It would be a 2.5 hour drive for me so we got a room at premier inn Prices weren't too bad when we booked it mid Jan, I expect they increased in price as he year progressed ~35 min walk from there to race village. Just printing out directions now Temp run today and then a two miler tomorrow and rest up Have felt like I have a sore throat starting most of this week but hoping either its taper blues OR I can hold it at bay till Mon
