It's not as hilly round Nostell, so the Wakey one shouldn't be as tough. Probs.

A few photos and video from the start examiner.co.uk , I think I've spotted XB, becca and PH between about 29s and 36s of the video.

HM, do I beleive you Mc Goo??

The worst bit was staggering up that last hill to cries of "well done, you are almost there"-only to realise that I had to go and do it all again LOL

Hipps, McGs assessment is accurate, although, being W Yorkshire it's not entirely pool table flat. My Dad was born in Nostell and I covered many miles on quiet, country roads.

Honest guv.

I ran/walked last year between Hemsworth/Fitzwilliam/Nostell/Purston to Pontefract and that takes in a fair bit of the route and it was mildly undulating at worst. Nothing like the hills around Hudds.

I thought you got a technical t-shirt too; no sign of that in the 'goody bag'. Not much sign of anything at all in it really!

A great course, but it seems to have been let down with poor organisation and a lack of value for money.

The tech t shirts were obtained from a box at the back of the pub thingy bit

I did like the nikwax in the goody bag

But yes, a bit overprieved for what yoiu got

I still dont inderstand how the Cornish is £20 to enter, and you get a hoody (in corrrect size), medal, cup of tea, pasty and other stuff

I didn't get any Nikwax. 4 lollies, a packet of love hearts (small) a balloon and 2 pens is all I got.

Fortunatley, Hipps, your other half told me where the t-shirts were otherwise I'd have gone home without one.

I'm 51yo therefore lollipops and balloons stopped being appealing in the late 1960s.

I got a tiny lollipop. I am more disappointed that I did not get any Love Hearts as they (or even better Fizzers) would be a usual part of my marathon nutrition these days. I carry a pack to east in the last three miles as a treat and indeed did so on Sunday and at Boston.
