How should I price my run videos?

In October last year I started a new YouTube channel where I posted all my virtual run videos (for treadmill users). It's been doing reasonably well and as of today I have 960 subscribers. There are currently about 50 virtual run videos live at the moment and I aim to publish one a week. Yesterday, I had an email from a treadmill manufacturer based in Lithuania asking if I'd be interested in licensing my videos to them to include in their library of scenery (their treadmills have built in screens, so runners can watch scenery as they use the treadmill). I need to offer them a price, but the problem is I have no idea how to calculate a reasonable price. They seem like quite a big company and I think supply globally to gyms. I know for certain they have also approached at least one other channel based in USA that creates virtual running content too - that channel has about 2.5k subscribers. Can anyone offer any suggestions? My thinking so far is to decide an hourly rate and calculate approximately how many hours I spend creating a video (planning, travelling, filming and editing). They want to be able to use the videos on any of their machines without restrictions. |

Thanks NordRunner, I didn't think of asking an AI client! I'll try ChatGPT too...

Now I'm no expert in these types of negotiations. But I would try to get them to give you a 'ballpark' figure if you can. Ask if they have a price in mind. They will try to low ball you but it gives you a starting point, which is the lowest they are prepared to go. Best of luck with it though, sounds like a cool channel. Hope you do get to monetize it. I read this all in a book by Chris Voss called 'Never Split the Difference' - I'd recommend you give it a read if you can. |

Have you tried asking on one of the fitness influencer groups on Facebook?

I was considering doing that bigleggy, but I was worried about my terrible negotiation skills and not being able to up the price enough! Thanks for the book suggestion, I'll add it to my 'wish list'. I think I need to get back to them today with some sort of offer... or at least more questions, so they don't loose interest. |

FreshStart, I'm not on Facebook anymore. My account got hacked last year, but I'm actually quite happy not being on the platform... it's a huge time waster!

This is the channel by the way: The videos are in 4K and range from 30 to about 70 minutes (4 to 9 miles of distance covered while recording). |
