How do fetchies survive seagull breeding season?

Had a couple of warning attacks, but the first full on joint male and female double swooping attack this morning. Quite scary as just up the road a couple of greater black backed gulls are nesting and they are massive! Still, despite it being quite scary, I an still full of sneaky admiration as to how far they go to protect their chicks.

This morning was the worst, got mobbed by about 10 of them, all coming in for the kill, first blood drawn of the year on my head.
