I usually give in before Good Friday but really try hard to at least get past Ash Wednesday before I have one (I know that kind of defies what Lent is about) I have eaten chocolate ones before but am also more of a purist and those things above posted by GM are an abomination as are salted caramel ones! As for those weird Heston Earl Grey ones that Waitrose sell............ I love Earl Grey but it does not belong in a hot cross bun.
