Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Depends how much you want to spend as there are roughly lots available.

Petzl tikka xp2 just got good reviews in Trailrunner mag. About £40 for it I think.

Pretty impressed by my LED Lenser H7 (though the battery compartment cover doesn't fill me with confidence, it hasn't caused me any problems).

I bought one of the Alpkit Gamma headtorches (DTs right, they come in and out of stock quickly) and for the money they're pretty good, they even have a red LED at the back. Don't expect miracles though, they're not that powerful and for a bit more money you can get a better light. I've got a Petzl Myo XP and it's seen good service, however what I really want is one of these:

peteblandsports.co.uk

Given the iron grip my wife has on my wallet, I suspect I might be wanting one for a while yet :-(

I have an XP2.
It's fine for a smooth-ish surface, but I found it a bit lacking for more difficult stuff. The lenser was recommended to me, there is a h7 and h14. The 14 is more powerful, but both were recommended.
I haven't bought one yet though.

Got something to say?
