Its a pretty easy course to follow tbh. A quick loop south on the cleveland way then the cinder track all the way to whitby (where it end and a marshal will direct you ) and then the cleveland way back.

Hardmoors events usually contain steps It doesn't go as far south as Cloughton, but it does go down to Hayburn The route is at http://www.fetcheveryone.com/routes-view.php?id=1157038 |

The 30 route is very simple to follow. Huge chunks of it are either following the disused railway line or the coastal path. The finish, along the coast is lovely It would make a perfect intro to running ultra-marathons

Thanks Princess PB , more worried about lost than last!! but would love some company/moral support I would really like to give this a go but I have never done more than a marathon before and as it's only a month away i'm a bit worried about not having enough time to train? I look at the race on New Years Day every year, but September would be a much better time for weather conditions (ha!) and daylight hours If I do decide to do it it will be a run/walk affair just with the aim of finishing I am a bit of a wuss on some dodgy terrains but a good chunk of it looks like the old railway track Really, really tempted, ignoring all of the above pathetic excuses!!!! |
