Last few weeks of training a bit mixed and niggly - but no point worrying now! :-o

last longish run for me 9 miles 8:40 pace- 8:35, 8:15, 8:30;8:46, 8:38, 9:04, 8:44, 8:47, 8:40 - felt good apart from the wind and rain . My dream is sub 4, realistic is pb sub 4:17something. Otherwise get around, its marathon no36 for me but my first Manchester . This time last year i enjoyed Paris- i stuck with the 4hr pacer against my judgement as daughter wanted to - stayed with 4hr group in sight to 16 or so miles - with c good bit of banter with SAfrican and Irish managed to regain lost pace in last mile to finish 4:18 .

happy tapering everyone, and talk soon - if its warmish i'll be in Welsh dragon vest and at moment im in the 3rd 4hr pen - may try to mve to earlier 4hr pen.

Peeg on page 50 your run of 20miles at 9 to 930 pace looked good- prob a bit faster tan me on a long run , you should be good for 4 to 420 finish, it all depends on how you hold it together after 20. I know thats my challenge- after 20 its running with the heart- to keep some sort of pace and focus when knackered.

right im going back to catch up from page 50 talk soon

So, all about the weather forecast now. Don't mind too much if it's raining or not, but don't want a strong wind.

Currently saying 10mph which would be good, east direction which is not so good as the final 4 or 5 miles will be into wind.

Plenty time for things to change in the next 6 days though !

I'm currently less worried about the light wind, whatever direction it comes from, and more worried about the predicted mid-teen temperatures :-0 But as you say Gus, plenty of time for things to change.

I think I've captured everyone in the sidebar, but let me know if I've missed anyone.
