Yeah I need to sort out driving plans as well. Thinking of aiming to get to the car park for 9:30 but wondering how chaotic it will be at that time. Don't mind hanging around at the start if the weather is good, but if it's like the last two weekends then eugh.

Just logged on to post the same question. I haven't done a race this big before and am panicking a bit about where to park. What do people think? I don't want to hang around at the start either. Is it OK to park in the Southsea car park near the start (apols if this has been covered already...)? I would probably also arrive around 9.30. I'm in white wave start 10.48.

Sorry LindsD I can't help you out with parking. I usually get dropped off in Southsea so haven't had that as an issue.

Well I've decided to get round somehow. I'm orange wave but will be putting myself in the white I think. With injury issues there's no way I'll make a sub 1:30 now. Still looking forward to this though - bracing myself for the usual windy seafront in the latter stages. Good luck everyone. Hope to catch some of you on Sunday. By the way I will be Fetched up :-)

I'll look out for you PLB though I suspect I will also move back a wave to join my SiL in green (not that we stayed together last year, we got separated by the crowd right at the start!)

This race is my least favourite. No idea why I keep coming back. I will wear my black fetch vest. Am in orange, but despite having a 10 mile PB of 1.24 at the Alton 10 I know I will struggle to get under 1.30 at GSR. This year it is too soon after a mara (as it was last year) the previous 2 years have been equally dire, but with no good/plausible excuse!
