well, as I have never completed a running marathon, even before my knees went awol, I guess it'll be 4 days of cycling! SHould be brilliant!
Particularly looking forward to the five a side in the evening, I haven't done that since I broke my leg!

any thoughts would be appreciated, I plan to do cycle, run, cycle run but am a bit of a loss re. training, thought I might do a basic ironman plan as thought it would be good for endurance.

I'd do a bit of running and a bit of cycling and you'll be fine! Probably a good idea to get the cycling up to 60 miles +

Ive been planing how im doing it ! Day1=Run 26 miles with light refreshments @ half way with 1hr rest, then finish steady pace. 2=Bike 50 miles & hit lunch !rest 30mins,another 50 miles stop for refreshments ,then continue last 25 miles-all at steady rate, continually conserving energy! 3=Run..Same as day 1 as i know this days route is the easyest run section ... 4=Bike..Same as day 2 hopefully.all depends on numbnuts!! & sore feet & aching muscles...BUT I WILL SURVIVE IT & FINISH.I MUST HAVE ONE OF THOSE PRESTIGIOUS MEDALS and of course the wall of fame..
