I found the flat, square Warburtons rolls really tasty, and about mid price point. Used 2 as rolls, and toasted the other 2 a couple of days later... Really, really good.

Eating out has been interesting, and going into my local pubs and explaining my new situation has been hard, although one was amazing... They have a can fridge, many of these are gluten free!

I've also experienced, for the first time in I don't know how long what it feels like to not have tummy ache! Quite a nice feeling really! Amazing what you get used too over years isn't it?!

Em, I was just contemplating that!
I still have my chronic pain and feeling of general malaise but: no bloating and abdominal pain. And my skin crawling sensations have gone! A promising start.

Ok: weird observation: I used to have terribly itchy ears inside and out due to "psoriasis" another auto-immune thing. I just realised that I haven't had itchy ears nor do I have to clean my ears of dry skin daily!
Not entirely sure for how long but an interesting fact!

Omg itchy ears??? I get that on and off, haven't had it in the last couple of weeks! The GP said there is likely to be so many little things that I have just put up with for years that will suddenly go!

Glad you are seeing improvement too Han x

It's good that your locals have something for you Em and that you are finding things you like (or at least that aren't too awful). I find the Warburton's rolls too sweet - it really is a matter of personal taste and trying lots of different things. Unfortunately it's expensive when you buy something you don't like.

Em, how interesting you have/had itchy ears too!
It is going to be an interesting journey.
I will be baking my own bread when I am next home. Bought gf bread is either too expensive for daily use or not nice.

Just tried the Tesco GF hot cross buns, not great unfortunately... Bit too spongy... Don't taste right... Shame, they look and smell good!

I regularly buy the Asda hot cross buns, they're not bad. I shall avoid the Tesco ones, thanks for the intel.
