Quite a drive, but worth it for the route. I love the Beacons, and that definitely looks like one for next year for me.

A few wrinkles in the organization to sort out but I agree was tough and good in the same breath.

Brilliant race, thanks to the organisers. Very tough but views were to die for. The man in the bath was hilarious :-)

Oh and people in the queue behind me at Costa were giggling at my t shirt!

Stunning views, and a pretty tough route, really enjoyed it.
My only complaint was the marshals not knowing how far from the end they were.. Not the only race where this happens though. Lady at the last water stop said 3 miles to the end, and it was 5! Ran very low on water then and earlier in the race. And a couple of places where the marking wasn't 100%, but only took a minute or so to find the next marker.

Did you get to do the Brecon midnight mountain mara thing mblnFERCr?

Loved it, at the end, when my kids assembled about 3 mins from the finish and ran in with me. Awesome course, lovely views, great friendly organisation.
Only tiny gripes from me - the hog roast ran out of hog when I got in, and they'd run out of medium t-shirts also at the end. Very minor issues though. Nothing could be done about the blistering heat, but the bathing farmer saluting us with a beer made my day.

Nah. I had 2 1/2 hours to drive to the start, and a guy I was running with said the traffic was bad to the M5 due to glastonbury. Shame, but there'll be other days.

True. We stopped at Stonehenge on the way back, that's about the extent of my activities today!
