The English manager thing is not surprising. Most English managers are of the age that they were bought up through the 442 ‘get stuck in’ ‘get rid of it’ era of dinosaurial English football.

It’s in their DNA, and no matter how many ‘badges’ they earn it will always hold them back at elite level.

Only in the last few years have we truly started to see England players genuinely brought up right through the system from a young age with progressive coaching. Once these guys start to coach/manage we may see more English managers.

A most enjoyable wait to get out of Easter road after Hibs 4th consecutive win and news filtering through of hearts conceding in 90+7 and then again in 90+9 to draw from a comfortable two goal lead.

I hope they give this manager more time :-)

Ah, the beautiful game, remember that? Let's put down some jumpers and have a socially-distanced kickabout. Long shots only, and no hugging and kissing.
