Apart from the fact that we have won the group, there wasn't a lot to be happy about. Very static in possession of the ball and some very poor deliveries into the box when we got the chance.

Bellingham is wrong at 10 and it throws a lot out of kilter. Him or Mainoo alongside Rice.

It would be nice to have won. We had control without much penetration. We’re going to have be much more aggressive in the knockout games. We will. I thought Palmer looked good when he came on. I think we need Wharton or Mainoo in midfield in place of Gallagher or TAA.

That was awful. England can just sod off, I knew they'd let the Czechs down. Typically turgid. Now we have to beat the Turks, which won't be easy. Thanks for nothing.

Draw has opened up for Austria and England.

Spain vs Germany and Portugal vs France for the one semi.

How about Spain vs France and England vs Austria semi finals? Italy and Belgium might protest.

Cole Palmer to do a David Platt in the last 16 - Belgium/Netherlands same really…..until THAT goal Platt was used as (non) impact sub.

(There was something about Platt that really annoyed me….just his face I think…..even the delirium of that goal was tempered a bit by the scorer being Platt. It was a very irrational annoyance).
