Wales should never have expected to get out of the groups. They have 12 players in their squad playing in the EFL.

Great finish to tonight's games.
Never mind Szczęsny's penalty save. Lewandowski should be the most relieved after his miss against Mexico.

He wasn’t good this tournament. he looked like a 33 year old lacking match sharpness who has played more golf than football which is what he is. But you’d still keep him in there for the X factor. Why ? If your best bet is this, then you really can't expect to get out of the groups. I'll never understand why people think a half fit player is a better option than a fully fit player. Regardless of who that half fit player is. At Elite level sports , half fit isn't good enough ! He was half fit in the playoffs. He was the difference.
There are none so blind..........

He doesn't need to be fit to take a penalty/free kick. Wales just came up short *at the tournament* but probably over achieved to get there. They now need to renew because, as bad as Bale was, I thought Ramsey looked shot.

None so blind as those that didn’t watch the playoffs.
