Beating Utd comes up every year as the FA cup rolls round! Sadly no relation to Alan, and missed seeing one of his York sides by a year.

I was at that game and in a bizarre coincidence the goalkeeper for United that night had a daughter in the same class as mine at Primary school.

That's a decent coincidence, not sure I've got similar for York, but certainly have a few around villa players from the 70-90s. Oddest being my wife working for an after school/ holiday club run by Chico Hamilton for a while!

Predictable outcome for the Villa - played well in spells, but without the quality to really hurt spurs

Yep, there were promising signs in the first two games. Then we had the winter/covid break and all the promising signs disappeared.

Hibs actually started very well today and looked like comfortable winners for 25 mins. Then we seemed to decide to hang on for te( win and just chucked it. Hearts did t even have to play well and in truth we were lucky the score wasn’t embarrassing.

All of the substitutions were baffling beyond belief and our recruitment of players has been dreadful. Led by the owners son

And we now have to face the same team at hampden next week. I am fearful.
