I was at that one as well, Phil. Also remember one against QPR, possibly on a New Year’s Day.

There was the FA Cup 3rd round Bob, Norwich v Brighton, about 2000/2001 season that called called off at 3.45 as a generator failed. The match never kicked off and I was in the home end with my two sons

Surrey Phil
Was there another FA Cup tie in the snow when the ball deflected into the Brighton net after it hit a mound of snow in the penalty area?

Bob!
That was the one gcwenn.
I remember Tannoy announcements calling for Mr Carrow to go somewhere.
There was snow on the pitch, not enough on it's own for the game to be called off.
I remember getting a free Delia pie for attending the re-arranged game.

Snow memories. I remember back in the day when there wasn't much live footie on the box I was looking forward to a third round FA cup tie between Everton & Spurs at Goodison in 1983. It was getting really close to kick-off and I turned the tele on and a definitely not state-of-the-art card appeared on the screen with message stating that the match had been postponed. Apparently the pitch was ok, but they were worried about safety of supporters on the terraces. Pretty sure the re-arranged tie wasn't broadcast live.

Also, remember a cup tie (back in the 90s?), Forest vs Spurs. Again broadcast live. The snow was bad but they managed to clear the lines and played with an orange ball. As the game progressed it turned into a blizzard and the ref, commentators, and viewers couldn't see the ball. Don't think the players could see much either. Anyway the ref had to call it off.

PS - Spurs lost both re-arranged ties. Should have tossed a coin.

I find myself wanting United to win this.

Annoyed by the laws which see two penalties given where players are attempting to clear the ball in their penalty areas. Not all contact is a foul. The Brentford player stuck his head in the way of Townsend’s boot, Thiago stuck his leg between Wan-Bissaka’s boot and the ball. Neither could have stopped their movement. If you are a defender and there’s a ball bouncing in front of you you’ve got to be able to try and clear it.

Ah, the beautiful game, remember that? Let's put down some jumpers and have a socially-distanced kickabout. Long shots only, and no hugging and kissing.
