Just read a game in Portugal was postponed at 7-0. One team start3d with 9 players including two keepers. The game was stopped when due to injuries they were down to six players

Yep, hit the news yesterday - two of the nine players didn't come out after half-time and the second keeper "apparently went down with an injury" so it does sound like they may have gone on strike.

(less bottle than Scorthorpe girls u-11s, who kept going 'til the end despite losing 23-1 and being 13-0 down at half-time)

In the old days teams with a cold/flu outbreak just had to tell players to play when not 100%. That’s not possible with covid and although it’s annoying games should be postponed

Hibs had two games postponed when they didn’t have enough players to field a team. Travelled by two coaches to invrerness and started overnight. Day of the game there’s were at least two positives. All those on their coach were deemed close contacts. The youth team had player the night before and were too far away to get there in time anyway.

(that was against my daughter's Huddersfield Ladies U-11s, Switts - we felt simultaneously proud and very guilty by the final whistle! :) )
