I can't help but think expectations at spuds are a bit skewed by a few good seasons, helped by Man U and Arsenal falling away and Liverpool/City rebuilding under phenomenal managers.
Levy has never been willing/able to invest on the playing side to meet the expectations that they place on managers. Sacking Poch was one of the most bizarre decisions in recent history although I do think he was looking for an out having hit the limits of where he could take them.
Hope they end up finishing 18th and go down with Watford. Hate the hire and fire model under these clubs

I support Arsenal. I don't want Spurs to go down, but I want them to be crap, and Arsenal to beat them around 3 - 0 every game. We can't do that if they go down.
It is all fine right now.
Cheers Levy. Well done. Carry on, as long as you like

Poch for Mourinho was just madness.

I only watched Wolves in the championship - they went from worse than us, to walking the championship in a season. And yes they spent, but I've seen Stoke and Derby spend and go nowhere.

I’m enjoying all the “spurs are in advanced talks” nonsense. We got so near to signing so many different people I’m not surprised the talks are advanced. I’ve currently stopped watching as it makes me too distressed, I’m not sure I have the equanimity in defeat anymore. It’s not like it’s a new thing, is just much easier to watch a team that plays together and makes the best of its resources than one crumbling and miserable

Norwich also walked the the championship, are you suggesting Spurs should go for Farke?
Chris Wilder got Blades from Div 1 to the cusp of Europa League qualification. I didn’t see anyone suggesting him for Spurs when Poch went.

Nuno promoted Wolves and then took them to two consecutive 7th place finishes. That is pretty much unprecedented for any recently promoted teams.
He also finished 13th in his 3rd season, which is still reasonable. Or are we saying ANY manager who manages in the championship shouldn't be considered for premiership employ??
Wilder is a numpty, not sure he got out of our division even, that Sheff Utd team was horrible and even we outplayed them the season they went up. First season in the prem quite a few managers managed a blip before teams adjust to playing them. Farke I'm not a fan of.
Steve Bruce did not manage as much as Nuno at Birmingham and yet until last week still found himself in premiership employ and most Blues fans would agree his tenure for us was a success, although the end was always coming.
I don't think Nuno was a good fit for Spurs, but I can't think of a more transition from Championship to Premier League. And he did that by playing decent passing football in the championship, something very few do. Warnock always likes to kick his way out of the division, as does Pulis. It pains me as I hate Wolves. But he is as good a manager as their has been in the championship.

missing word "more successful transition". And I'd rather be managed by him as opposed to Ole, Maureen, Dean Smith, Wayne Rooney...

I suppose Bielsa is the only other comparable one - but I'm sceptical, I think he will be/is getting found out. And then there are jokers like Jokanovic, who I'd rather never got near us.
