Thanks all for the comments. I had a cold (well more of a sniffle) and then got the chest infection. I'll think about it and speak with the Asthma nurse after the race.

I'd have it. Anybody who coincidentally got a cold/flu after the jab blames the jab, but there is no hard evidence to support that theory.

Not only is there no evidence to support the myth that you're more likely to get a cold, 'flu or whatever after the 'flu jab, there IS statistical evidence that colds, 'flu etc. are no more common in the couple of weeks after having a 'flu jab compared to not having it.

My friend works in docs. The new girl left the delivery of flu jabs on the side rather than putting them in the fridge. £4000 worth of flu jabs ended in the bin the partners were not happy doctors !!

So us non-asthmarous types have to go to Boots for it? If can get my act together I'll go.
