That was Nigel Baroness, think he gave up about 10 years ago as he was fed up with Adnams.
Sue used to scare us when we were teenagers.

Sue went to run the Bell at Walberswick after the Greyhound. She had two lovely boxer dogs as I recall. She could be quite fierce when she was minded to though

57.5 Degrees of Pain
Spent many happy evenings in the Greyhound in the 1990s, including the night before I emigrated in 1999. Friends live nearby, they still do but I've only made it back to Suffolk twice in the 12 years that I've been back in the UK.

I have just asked on your blog what the pint was! Not one I am familiar with though!

I've been to a beer festival today. Can't remember the last beer festival I went to - obviously whenever it was was before March 2020 but I'm guessing my last festival before then might have been back end of 2019. Lots of local-ish breweries but found a couple I hadn't had before. Milestone Imperial was one which was OK but there was one from Leigh on Sea that was my favourite - Cockle Row Spit at 5.6%, an American style IPA which I wouldn't normally have gone for but I am glad I tried a half!

If you are in Padstow, the Taste Of Padstow tasting rooms are worth visit. I particularly enjoyed the Pocket Rocket.

Surrey Phil
Had lunch in The Bell and found it a bit pricey. Also, done a bit of Adnams tasting down the road at The Anchor.

Lovely part of the world Surrey Phil - pubs are generally a bit more expensive though. The Bell at Middleton is not far away (also Adnams) and has a lovely garden on a sunny day.
