Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

That's the way I'm looking at running too Neems. I am so very definitely stopping at 2 so I've got the rest of my life now to get my running back. I've actually got a bit of a goal for getting 'good' again when I hit the V40 category (3 years away)

I didn't run parkrun on Saturday because my hips were hurting. I spent friday feeling like I was being punched on the top of my left hip bone and a few people said I look like I've dropped this week so I think the baby just did a bit of a general change of position. I feel fine now so hopefully I'll be up to something this weekend.

I'm 33 weeks and am feeling exactly the same - huge and uncomfortable. I can;t get comfy on hardly any seats. I just want to sit with my feet up but I can't at work! I think I'll work from home tomorrow, see if that helps. It was Sylvie's birthday on Saturday and the day wiped us both out! Luckily she wanted a lazy day on the sofa playing with present on Saturday while I napped :-)

I can't give any c-section advice either. I started back running after 5 weeks with Sylvie and I remember very clearly knowing ti was the right time. One day I was thinking I can't wait to run one day soon and then the next day I thought I can't wait to go for a run tonight.

Walking is quite different to running though. I did feel a bit jiggled about after my first run back (which was 4 x 400m on a running track). I think before getting back to running I was doing a couple of miles walking with the pram here and there.

I found this website really helpful thealphaparent.com
And it's got specific c-section advice.
I liked how it explained what your body was doing so you can then decide what you think you are capable of doing.

A no for us this month. Even though the attitude is 'not trying, just not preventing' i think we were both more disappointed than last time it was a no. Might have to up the 'not trying' to the next level....

Sorry lise. I would really recommend the ovulation predictor kits. We used them for the first time this month and...

I'm pregnant! Not even four weeks yet so super early but fingers crossed.

Congratulations Lambkin :-)

I would second use of a method to know when you are ovulating. I used an app called fertility friend and would not have got pregnant second time if I hadn't used it. I was ovulating around day 23 of my cycle. Others ovulate very early. All you need is the app and a thermometer to take your temperature every day. Might be cheaper than OPK kits...

I had a midwife appointment on Monday and she said that my bump was measuring small (ha! it's ginormous) and referred me for a growth scan.
So I went for a scan yesterday and they said the baby was measuring big and I had a lot of fluid so I had to have a diabetes test today.

They said I have to wait until my next midwife appointment to find out the results. A 2 week wait when I've only got 6 to go sounds wrong to me, especially when diabetes and a big baby might mean I'll have to be induced early!

Hopefully it's nothing though, otherwise my home birth idea is out of the window.

Now I know it's big I'm slightly concerned about being at home anyway. Sylvie was 8lb 1 but I never got a late scan with her so no idea what size she was at this stage last time. This one is apparently almost 6lb already :-S
