Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I've now decided I will do Holme Moss race on Sunday rather than just potter about.

I'm at work with my leg up on the desk and a frozen tea towel wrapped round it :-( An insect bit which was a touch grumpy last week has turned into a right mess - ankle and foot are swollen, I'm on anti-hists and anti-bs. Blergh. It was developed a spectacular blister which is now about 1 cm across and .5 cm high!

Let's hope the weather is better for you than this Sunday, Mx (and it's ALWAYS windy up there by the way)

Ohhhh (((((SW))))) sounds horrible! Hope it clears quickly :-(

I can report that, after a week of no running, the adductor muscle is behaving after a hilly 5 miles on the road last night. Racing tonight, 4 miles on flat tramac, then a 7 km recovery run on the fells tomorrow, my easy low loop. If that all works out fine, normalilty shall be resumed on Thursday with a quick dash to the top of Haterall Hill and back :-)

Look at us all....all nursing injuries. Does that tell you something about fell running? ;-) I'm nursing the ankle a bit at the moment and trying to decide whether to be sensible this weekend...or whether to give Wasdale a go :-) Heart says one thing, head says another!!

Mind you (keep this quiet), I did a 5km road race last night down the club!!! And I sort of enjoyed it!! Arrgghhh!!! Well actually, I enjoyed the fact that, despite thinking I was now a slow old plodder, I was under 20mins on a course with a tough little hill in it. Might have to have a go at another road race sometime.......

LOL Rich... shhhh, am doing a 4 mile road race tonight, and it is flat ;-)

Well done on yours :-) and look after that ankle! I have decided NOt to do Wasdale, as it is the same day as the first fell race I ever did last year... 7 miles, 2900ft. It will be the first opportunity to compare how I have imporved, one year on :-)
