Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Great photo! :-) :-)

Looking forward to November - we've not been on the wall for nearly three weeks due to being away and then other things since we got back - we're hoping to get back in tomorrow for a gentle re-introduction!

Over the summer we got new climbing shoes. Mine were a little right but I was assured they would break in. Initially the got more comfortable but recently they’ve become worse to wear. To the point where I’ve been putting my old shoes on to climb in. They’ve been much better and I’ve felt more comfortable leading 6a+ and 6b in them.
A climber we belated with last week suggested I get my old shoes re-soles and have the name of the company he uses. I posted them 1st class on Monday and they arrived back today re-soled ready for a test climb tonight. £47 😀

Tempted to do likewise when my Anasazi Verdes give up the ghost. I have Anasazi Blancos but they're not as comfortable.

I’ll report back tonight. 1st try walking round the house would suggest a good comfort level.

We had a session at the Keswick wall on Tuesday morning. Pleased to find that The Boardroom hadn't been flattering us, we genuinely haven't lost much technique although the stamina is down. A trip to Kendal is pencilled in for this weekend.

Looked wistfully at the wall at Surrey Sports Park this morning but it wasn't open

They were nice and comfortable. A bit firmer than the previous sole, but even on the 1st wear there felt no need for any breaking in.

I’m trying to overcome my ‘lead climbing fear’ that seems to have developed since our holiday break 🙄 just need to bloody relax 🤪 No rhyme or reason to it, just getting frustrated with myself! It will come…..
