Cheers Steve, yup seen the pictures. Went up to St Asaph today to pick our turkey up from the butcher. Saw the waxwings but no sign of it whilst I was there, has been spotted again today though.
Contemplating my run tomorrow, either Brenig to try and get a glimpse of the crossbills or St Asaph for the thrush. The reality is I generally never spot what I'm looking for on my runs, but it's nice to have a goal

We saw a couple of treecreepers yesterday morning. Speaking to a bird spotter/photographer on a walk around the woods near us, he said that lesser spotted woodpeckers had been seen there.

Going to Arran for Christmas - if the boats are sailing - so hoping I can get our for some shoreline bird spotting. Weather's not looking great but I live in hope.

You're not wrong Steve, has been a brilliant winter. Nothing today at Llyn Brenig, but was blowing a gale. Came thru St Asaph on the way back. No birds, but u guess word is out about the thrush as saw every type of huge camera there is I think, loads around!
