Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Seen today around Seaton, West Devon: oystercatcher, shellduck, widgeon, teal, cormorant, pied wagtail, goldfinch, chaffinch, meadow pipit and what looked like a big flock of scoter on the sea

Bullfinches look superb in the snow.

11 whooper swans on my dog walk yesterday. They were in flight and sounded like a host of clowns on tricylcles sounding horns.

flock of starlings cleaned out the feeder earlier.
I've never seen them actually in the garden before. First there was a loan scout, then about 20 mins later the hoards arrived. I guess it's getting wintery out there.

Early count indeed Pedro..when I do mine I know that I won't get Siskin or Nuthatch, if I do it'll be a miracle. Running along river trail this morning--Bullfinches in various places, 3 Goosander (one drake), r Cormorant. Daffodils flowering well in nearby park!

Steve, I'm right next to a conifer and mixed wood so nuthatch is a regular but Siskin not so much. Daffodils flowering here too and GSW drumming again this morning. Almost spring like :-)

Woodpigeon fest this morning. They used to regularly turn up in packs, but this is the first time I've seen more than a couple for a while. The female blackbirds are hounding them, with a bit of help from the squirrels.
