Two male Dotterel reported on Ingleborough this evening on the SE corner, that's immediately next to the Shark's Tooth descent marker for you fell runners🙂

Bee eaters been spotted in Derbyshire too apparently... Not by me and some discussion about veracity, but regular trusted spotter so I suspect correct.

I think there were some in Suffolk either last year or year before too. We stumbled on the site on a walk after they’d moved on

Ah yes, that's a plausible interpretation. So they stop for a while and then sing again?

I reckon they must do. That verse was something my mum taught me. Perhaps they’re too busy creeping quietly into nests to make much noise either side of May. :)
