No swallows or housemartins here yet. Heading for a bike ride in a bit more inland, so might be better ground. Little Egret in the garden when I got back from my run, which certainly is a first! |

Just googled, up to 100 per year. Next question - how do you pronounce hoopoe? I thought it was hoop-oh, but from a recording of its call I wonder if it could be who-op-oh! Call is 3 syllables
