First singing Blackcap in my garden..about time, they are everywhere within a mile radius of here. A Cettis singing along my run route. No more Willow Warblers, first wave through...

I heard a singing warbler today, briefly, that I think, must have been a blackcap.

Dave headed out to work at 5.15am and I opened the window so I could listen to the ‘dawn chorus’ I’ve never heard it so noisy from our house... a definite upside about all of ‘this’ going on....

Saw a Tawny Owl in a hole in a tree in Wollaton Park today, the sun reflects off its face. I wouldn't have seen it if there hadn't been someone with bins looking at it.

First Swallow of the year on tonight's run. Just spotted a lone one up at about a 1000ft but I'm guessing there must be a fair few lower down on the Res. Also my first Wheatear of the year, at least five on the top of my local hill. Then in the last shafts of light from the setting sun I came across Reynard lolloping across the hillside above the village and very resplendent he looked too lit by the reddish sunlight.
