Labrador Bay NR, near Newton Abbot, is a good shout for Cirl Bunting. I visited in November a couple of years ago and there were mixed flocks of CB and yellowhammer easily seen close to the car park.

Plenty of rb merganser (and golden eye) off the north snowdonia coast near Conway at the weekend DT if work ever takes you in that direction.
The highlight of today's trip to RSPB Fowlmere was a Jay!

My first Bramblings of the winter today. Small flock (at least 6) in a quiet corner of the Longshaw NT car park.
Last week we had plenty of winter plumage Ptarmigan up in the Grey Corries plus some very confiding Redwings at the top of Loch Treig, where we also watched a Red Deer stag swim out to an island.

ff, wonderful! Never seen a ptarmigan in this country, although I've seen quite a few in Norway (and one in Switzerland a year or so ago). Maybe I'll see one when I come to twitch my dotterels...

It's like the birdgeek version of the 'show me your tits' line when asking to see someone's photos of bearded reedlings...
