Is there one of these already?
I'm super excited.
However.... Fetch, are you sure it opens at midnight on the 1st? I would have thought it opened at midnight on the 30th November.

Is it a group of pedants, or the thread of the pedant?

um
I took on the weight of my US international employee over a date limit for submissions by midnight on xx date. I assumed it was the end of the day, not the previous day. And I won - they allowed my submission after a massive mail war.
But - on checking the internet - the 'accepted' usage seems to be midnight is the start of the day, Fetch is aligned. Although it does advise (as per insurance practice) to use 23:59 or 00:01 for clarity.
In other news, besides Mrs S's son's nice mug, is noon am or pm ?
