Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I now live in Stockport, South of Manchester Northern England, North Western Europe, in the Northern Hemisphere, from the planet earth, the solar system, 8th spiral arm, etc etc.

There is East Croydon, West Croydon, and South Croydon, but no North Croydon. Who took North Croydon and where are we going to put it if they bring it back?

The South is by definition anywhere South of the Midlands, therefore Stockport is very much part of the Northlands

The most Southerly point of UK mainland is Lizard Point ( 49.96 deg N) the most northerly is Dunnet Head ( 58.66 deg N) - Half way would then be 54.3 Deg N but Stockport is at 53.88 Deg N therefore well in the southern half - the numbers don't lie.

How would that have worked if Scottishland had voted to leave the Union?

Stockport would have become very Northern
