I now live in Stockport, South of Manchester Northern England, North Western Europe, in the Northern Hemisphere, from the planet earth, the solar system, 8th spiral arm, etc etc.
but would still be considered THE SOUTH by some.

The most Southerly point of UK mainland is Lizard Point ( 49.96 deg N) the most northerly is Dunnet Head ( 58.66 deg N) - Half way would then be 54.3 Deg N but Stockport is at 53.88 Deg N therefore well in the southern half - the numbers don't lie.
