Sorry to hear of your loss, @No.12. I reckon I'm a week ahead of you in "the process" but it's been, er, educational so far. People tell me it's not quite so hard as it looks at first. And suicide is always hard to understand. Especially in one so young, with apparently a good support network. 😔 |

I hope that the admin doesn't prove too onerous No.12 and am glad that you have found the thread helpful and supportive. Difficult for those left behind to deal with macca. |

That's very sad Macca, having had a suicide in our family it's hard to deal with and understand the "if they had only reached out" We are going to my dad's this weekend. It is a year today Jen had her stroke and a year on Tuesday that we had to say goodbye. my brother is coming over Monday and it will be good that we all together for a few hours (we have to head home later Tuesday) |

Sorry to hear that macca - might be a good reminder on the Mental Health thread about the value of talking to each other and anyone about unhappiness and desperate feelings. We really don't talk enough. We're more connected than ever but feel more isolated. Condolences No 12. |

Very sad Macca. OH's grandfather got to the stage where he felt like a burden/wasn't enjoying life anymore and took himself out to the hills to die of exposure. Took a while for his body to be found. I always feel sorry for whoever did, it must be quite the shock. Successfully avoided giving covid to my one surviving grandparent over Christmas, so I suspect she will be with us for some time yet. She may not be quite as sharp as she was (although that's still sharper than many of us). |

That is sad Macca and resonates a little with me re BiL and HGs comments on importance of talking. In my view if BiL would talk to us, we could find some common ground which would both help Mrs Axe and BiL. However verbal comms is closed down at every route which just makes things worse and means we need to get to a point where there is no need for any further contact. |
