Looking at the first videos to emerge of this (fan footage I think, so very low quality) it looks like the guy almost jumped up and drop kicked him with his skates. Is that possible? Or did he slip intending to barge him or something else? If it was a deliberate kick, is that normal? With sharp ice skates that seems ridiculously dangerous? Apologies if this is way off the mark, but it is just a news story that is prominent at mo on BBC. Condolences to anyone affected.

Happy Grrr the Panthers and pretty much the whole hockey family are asking out of respect that you don't watch the video of what is essentially a young man's death.
There will be an investigation. Until then the Police have asked that speculation be avoided.

Cedd is on ice at training. He went early for a kit inspection.
EIHA have signalled an intent to make neck guards mandatory in the leagues they govern. There is a slight delay to allow for supply issues. Cedd wears one anyway as a junior.
