Worryingly I've come to the conclusion I should pick the Jags as well.

It's an odd week. Packers should win easily except I suspect they won't. Still think Chiefs is the safest call.

Yeah they're the reason I went out in the first survivor so not ready to go back there yet, lol.

HowFar?
Packers only got to London yesterday. Have other teams left it late in the past, or is this some new way of preparing for the international games?

I think last week one of the teams came over on the Monday and the other the Friday? Can’t remember which way round.

I think we make too much of the ‘London’ thing. I seem to recall Wembley being closer to travel for the Pats than going to play the Chargers when they were in San Diego.

It depends where you are coming from. If it’s San Francisco it’s a sleck. Different facilities etc. it definitely puts you out of your rhythm.

The around the nfl podcast was saying teams were turning down the bye week after the London game tho as it was too early in the season.

Which does support you saying maybe it’s not such a big deal if they don’t need the recovery time.

Agree it's a PITA for the west coast teams - but my understanding from too long reading the Globe (and for my sins the Herald) is that the Pats - and by extension Jets/Giants - don't view it much differently from a west coast trip.

Opportunity cost, they can't have two bye weeks can they?

I think there was an ‘all or nothing’ doc a few years back on the Lions (maybe) where they explained the process. They did passport control etc in the stadium after their Sunday night game and they were off to London within a few hours of playing. Teams certainly make it as comfortable as possible to make the journey. Not quite the slog it would be for most

No they can’t. There’s a downside to going to London. Jet lag etc but those are outweighed by the benefit of having a bye later in the year, when the team maybe more banged up and in need of the break.
