Nothing says “The NBA is back” quite like a confident prediction of NYK not making the playoffs 🙄

I'm glad the improved fortunes of the Red Sox in the last 2 days have allowed you to show face around here again Grep!

It’s not looking convincing at all though. Much gallows humour in the Globe about hopefully keeping below 54 losses for the season for the first time since 1981.

Is that link wailing and gnashing of teeth about the Sixers losing last night? That's the only thing that should be posted on here today surely?! ;-)

Sixers lost by 6 points yesterday. Embiid played 34 mins and was plus 21, which means they were minus 27 in the 14 mins he didn't play.

Al Horford was signed precisely for this scenario ($97m over four years). He played 23 mins and was minus 26!

Bruins losing, Celtics lost, Red Sox being talked about as the worst professional team in recent memory. Not a good weekend for sports in Beantown.

Losing to the Bucks is expected TBF. Sixers will play Boston in the playoffs if they started today. In theory, a good matchup for the Sixers.

The Boston teams might be poor but part of you must be cheered by the disasters that dog Derek Jeter's every move as a team executive.

I missed the original story, although last time I looked the number was up to 19, which is scary.

There are other glimpses of hope. I saw some of the Mets game against the Braves in Saturday. They looked lost and confused., which means we might still not end up the worst team in the MLB.

Edmonton looked abject against Chicago on Saturday too.
