Made a new recipe that I had clipped from the Guardian a couple of weeks ago. A Japanese rice bowl, except I used noodles rather than rice and tofu instead of dead bird, and I forgot the mango.

Sounds lovely. Had something similar myself, Bint, with pear and ginger. Yum yum. Not a newt, though. Newt for me was yoga related, balancing in crow pose, something I've been working towards for a few days. |

Oh well done Becca! I came across the crow pose in the 30 days of Yoga thing (a handful of Fetchies did this) - it seems quite advanced and I certainly couldn't do it the one (and only?) time it cropped up. I did try the camel after you posted it, though ... and that became my very late in the day newt. So thanks! |

V. impressed by the crow...I can only manage about 3 seconds (which is really just more of a slow toppling over). Camel pose makes me feel like I'm going to pass out. I think I must have some kind of weird anatomy and it compresses an important artery I met a newt person last night, whilst I was visiting the newt hospital. He insisted on telling me all about how he had left my current workplace because he hated everyone there. This was about 10 years ago & he didn't seem to have moved on in any meaningful way (I like my current workplace, for the record). Yesterday's learning point: Not all newts are fun. |

3 seconds of crow is about all I managed, but I'll take it. Camel is, I think, a good one for runners but a tough one. Well done Sharkie.

Thanks Becca. In spite of years and years of Pliates (although I have let it slide) my Balance is Not What it Was. Age related at a guess but like muscle decline something that can be addressed. I've always been quite good at back extensions - hence Fosbury Flopping still a possibility at 60 plus! |

Ah, yes, the Fosbury Flop requires similar flexibility. I don't think that I shall be trying that as one of my newts, though.
