Jambomo, I think we'd be the ideal support team for Sophster - neither of us has a car, can drive or can run far/fast, but we can sort of find our way on a map, make sandwiches and shout loudly. That shoud do, shouldn't it? ;-)

So other than run in remote parts of Scotland with nobody around other than a Mad woman what is required of any potential support runner?

I think most are supporting in teams of at least two, one to be able to run and one to be able to drive (or combination of)
from the race details ...
You must have a back-up vehicle (car, 4x4 etc.) and a back-up crew which must consist of at least one runner. It is their responsibility to take care of you with regards to food, water, clothing etc. It is also primarily their responsibility to go and find you should you fail to reach any check-point.

What are other folk doing about the back-up requirements?
You must have a back-up vehicle (car, 4x4 if you have one (not required though!!)...
Who fancies a fantastic day out in the beautiful North West of Scotland on the legendary West Highland Way, supporting the lovely Sophster? Team of 2 would be best: a driver/sandwich maker and a runner/Muller rice opener. Eternal gratitude, fetchie fame and gold and jewels will be yours. (*)

It's Sat 7 August. Come on Fetchland.

* I may have lied about the gold and jewels
