Can't help Soph as I'm running it... my ever suffering OH driving and club runner as back up
Someone will help you out.. if not put drop bags in someone's (roughly same paced runner) car and pick em up as you go... you're back up runner will be anyone who's leaving the checkpoint at the same time

its not easy supporting 2 different runners unless they are both running it together

Actually yeah, there is that Karie. We (flip and I) had a couple of guys run flip's last leg on WHW with us, because their support runner had a prob (one was a wife who was a support walker, but because her husband was unexpectedly still able to run at this point, wasn't suitable and the other supporter was a brother who only did 5ks and 10ks, so 2 miles into the 15 miles over the hills, he was a bit tired and had to turn back). :-)G

These are the instructions on getting to Lundavra from the WHW website:
'The checkpoint is situated 50m up a rough track at the WHW shelter at the clearing in the woods. There is limited roadside parking but as the field is spread out over 15 hours at this stage it is usually plenty'
Bearing in mind feking lundarvra is not on the map and is not on the sat nav - ?? based on the above sentence?? All i knew go to Fort William and turn right down a track at the first roundabout. Well turns out there was no track it was a road i needed to go down.
So anyway i can do it if someone else can map read - that is if the places are on the map of course!!

Pity this is so far away. How much of the route do you need a buddy runner for ?

JammyLu the road to Lundrava from FW is off the roundabout just as you go into FW, its the 3rd exit and you go straight up a hill into a housing estate, it then becomes a single track road. You have to park a good bit away from the WHW path so I generally put a variety of stuff and water into a bag and carry it up.

UC - I think I've found the roundabout on the map, as the third turning is on to Lundavra Road
once on to that road it becomes Old Military Road, how would I know that I've gone far enough ?
