We very rarely put up a tree before the holidays have begun. It stays up until 6th January.

MmoB, so long as "as soon as possible" means no earlier than 6th January, I'm with you. There are twelve days of Christmas, most of them after 25th December.

Nope usually gone by New Years Eve if not before, sometimes on 28th December. The very latest it has ever still be up is 2nd January as sons birthday is 4th and always gone before then. I do normally leave the outside decorations on the house up though although this year we have not even done that.

um - mine is always down on boxing day! but...but..... that's because sons birthday is 27th, so I always take it down to make sure it feels like its his birthday rather than the day after the day after christmas
(that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!)

Elf For Leather
I have seen us just getting around to putting ours up on Christmas Eve. We did plan on putting it up last Sunday but family emergency took precedence so hopefully this Sunday. Once up it will stay until 6th January.

*shakes head in disappointment at all of you*
Mine goes up closest weekend to 1st Dec as possible. Comes down on 6th (12th day of Christmas). Outrageously, mine was up in the last weekend of November this year. There's enough misery in the weather, it may as well have sparkly lights and pretty things to make it feel more tolerable!! (although it is outrageously warm this year... I am actually hankering for a frost, blue sky and SUNSHINE!!!)
