Agree re Head. As they're saying on the commentary now, the ball was moving loads when he came in.

Thing is, it's clearly easier batting conditions now which is why Australia fielded first. India could have batted better but there's more pressure when you're expecting the other team to have the better of conditions.

I have liked the batting at the other end to Head. Clear, protecting his wicket.

India have had a good tournament. Pity that their only flop was in the final.

Who is your all time favourite commentator (we could have a cricket thread Death Match if there's sufficient interest?). I'm going to go with Johnners on the radio - some interesting stuff here en.wikipedia.org ...and the incomparable Richie on the TV. If anyone says Mark Nicholas, they will be banned |

Commentator or summariser? *technically* (at least to me) there are no commentators on tv. They do much more of the job that the TMS summariser does. Commentator would be CMJ Summariser - either curtly or sir viv - don't say much, but when they do, it's important. Too many of the sky lot do what Vaughan has started doing in more recent years (when he came onto TMS, he was a breath of fresh air) - it's more about them, rather than the cricket and actual analysis of the game. Cook, at the moment, gets it most of the time. Steve Finn has also been quite good recently. |

The other great TMS commentator was Tony Crozier of course.

Broadcaster? Person that says stuff on the tv or radio in relation to an ongoing game of cricket.

(and also for me, Alex Hartley has fallen into the Vaughan trap, as has Ebony Rainford-Brent).
